General biography
Adrian Angelico is a norwegian-sámi artist, who works mainly in opera. Other types of engagements includes giving talks at schools and university in topics like gender diversity, inclusion, and indigenous representation in media. He also participates in other genres of music, like concerts combining opera and joik with Frode Fjellheim, Ulla Pirttijärvi-Länsman and band, at Sortland Jazzfestival. Or the concert in memory of Nils-Aslak Valkeapää with Arctic Philharmonic and the sámi national theatre Beaivváš.
As well as having been part of several TV-productions, and being active on Tiktok as @Arctic_melody - he is currently working on his series of novels for norske serier/Cappelen Damm.

Operatic biography:
Angelico studied at Royal College of Music, Benjamin Britten International Opera school and as a part of the opernstudio at Opernhaus Zürich.
He debuted at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, in 2014, singing the Marquise de Merteuil in John Fulljames’s new production of Quartett in the Linbury Studio Theatre. The year after he was invited back to sing Flora in Richard Eyre’s production of La Traviata on the main stage. Other important debuts is Bregenzer festspiele in ‘Die Passagierin’ and ‘Das Portrait’, and the role as Gudrun in «The fourth watch of the night’ at Den Norske Opera & Ballett, who also went on tour to Savonlinna Operafestival in 2012.
He’s british operatic stage debut was as ‘Vitige’ in English Touring Opera’s production of Flavio. And In 2017 he went on tour with Covent Gardens production of Quartett to Rouen, Trento and Spoleto Festival, USA.
Angelico specializes in «trouser roles» like Octavian (Der Rosenkavalier), Der Komponist (Ariadne auf Naxos), Le Prince Charmant (Cendrillon), Cherubino (Le nozze Di Figaro) Prinz Orlovsky (Die Fledermaus), Idamante (Idomineo), Hänsel (Hänsel und Gretel) and Sesto (La Clemenza di Tito).
His concert appearances include Peer Gynt with Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Beethoven’s Symphony no.9 with NDR and Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, A new years concert of ‘Der Fledermaus» with Elbphilharmonie, and church concerts like Mozarts Requiem, The Messiah, and Rossini’s Petite Messe solennelle.
In later years he has worked with conductors like Manfred Honeck, Marc Minkowski, Andrew Manze, Eivind Gullberg Jensen, Dmitri Jurowski, Joana Mallwitz and Elim Chan.

- Cherubino, in Peter Steins’ production of «Le Nozze di Figaro»
- Octavian, in Sir David McVicar's production of "Der Rosenkavalier"
- Octavian, in Christoph Loy's production of "Der Rosenkavalier" (Kungliga Operan, Stockholm).
- Sesto, in Rodula Gaitenou's production of "La Clemenza di Tito" (At Bergen Nasjonal Opera / streamed at Operavision)
-Cherubino, in Stephen Langridge's production of "Le Nozze di Figaro" (Gothenburg Opera)
- Hänsel, in Hänsel und Gretel (sung in norwegian) at Den Norske Opera, Oslo).
He has won several prizes during his career, amoung them ‘Skipsreder Tom Wilhelmsens opera & ballett prize 2017’, and two special prizes at the Queen Sonja International Music Competition.
